Founded in London, Clove Architects is situated in Fleet, Hampshire and works within the South East counties.
The Director, Charlotte, is an ARB-qualified architect with over fifteen years’ experience in practice. Prior to founding Clove Architects, Charlotte was an Associate at And Architects where she gained considerable experience completing a wide variety of architectural projects including private and commercial high-end residential schemes; 2012 and 2016 Olympics Games; educational school projects; and many larger commercial schemes requiring complex statutory approvals.

Having studied at the Universities of Nottingham and Westminster, Charlotte started her career at Foster + Partners working on mixed commercial schemes and office fit-outs.
She believes that collaboration with the client, consultants, and contractors are key to a successful project and a happy client. From bespoke homes to larger housing developments, she has guided clients through all aspects of the design, planning and construction process.

brief
This is the most important stage where discussions begin with our architects. This enables us to understand the client’s brief, expectations, both visionary ideas and unconsidered options.
concept design
This initial stage of the architectural process includes site appraisal, feasibility studies, and concept design development all shaped by your aspirations and the specific context of the site. From our first meeting, we work closely with you to create sketch proposals based on your brief. These early drawings help bring ideas to life, making it easier to visualise the design and refine your brief as needed.
technical designs
Once planning permission has been gained, we prepare technical drawings and liaise with Building Control to obtain the relevant approval. We work closely with a wide range of consultants, such as structural engineers who may need to be brought onto the project at this stage. For larger projects, you or your builder may require more detailed working drawings of how the building and its elements are put together. We can provide the necessary drawings and coordinate with your builder as necessary.
tender process
The technical drawings that our architects have put together, alongside a full scope of works form part of a tender package to obtain quotations from contractors for an accurate contract value. We work to administer the building contract for construction mobilisation.

Our architects ensure that regular site inspections are carried out to manage the client’s risk through the build, check they are completed as per the drawings and specification and ensure that the construction process goes as smoothly as possible.
